Purpose: Produce game-ready models and textures, as determined by the Art Director & scheduled by the Producer.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Ensure all completed work is in a build-ready format.
Collaborate effectively with Art Director, Creative Director & Producer during art review sessions that result in the finest artistic look possible.
Meet project deadlines / milestones.
Actively participate in team / department meetings.
Maintain good relationships with other team members at all times.
Essential Skills, Knowledge and Experience
A portfolio or reel demonstrating outstanding modeling and texturing skills (candidates work must clearly demonstrate exceptional ability in the areas of character and/or environment modeling)
Understanding of Maya and/or XSI
Understanding of Photoshop
Ability to meet deadlines
Passion for video games!
Creative, positive, problem-solving attitude.
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
Ability to work with a high degree of self-direction when necessary
Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
Must be receptive to direction
Must be responsive to deadlines and work within pre-defined aesthetic goals
Self motivated
Graduate or relevant experience > 2 yrs
This is a full-time project position, starting in January 2010.
