thatgamecompany looking for full time 3D Modeler

Purpose: Produce game-ready models and textures, as determined by the Art Director & scheduled by the Producer.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
• Ensure all completed work is in a build-ready format.
• Collaborate effectively with Art Director, Creative Director & Producer during art review sessions that result in the finest artistic look possible.
• Meet project deadlines / milestones.
• Actively participate in team / department meetings.
• Maintain good relationships with other team members at all times.

Essential Skills, Knowledge and Experience
• A portfolio or reel demonstrating outstanding modeling and texturing skills (candidate’s work must clearly demonstrate exceptional ability in the areas of character and/or environment modeling)
• Understanding of Maya and/or XSI
• Understanding of Photoshop
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Passion for video games!
• Creative, positive, problem-solving attitude.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
• Ability to work with a high degree of self-direction when necessary
• Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
• Must be receptive to direction
• Must be responsive to deadlines and work within pre-defined aesthetic goals
• Self motivated
• Graduate or relevant experience > 2 yrs

This is a full-time project position, starting in January 2010.
