Demo Piece Ideas

I'm beefing up my human character models so I can go commission hunting.
I've got a few ideas.
the hermit alchemist who lives under the minimall (imagine finding him at the gap (or victoria secret) after dark)
the retired superhero's drunkard mother
the stoic sleep deprived finals student
the irritated buddhist
a paniced mr peanut

the reason i'm posting is for feedback on what sounds interesting. i don't have time to really explore every idea so i'd like to weed out the bad ones.

Hermit Alchemist. Uses the bathroom to mix random shit together in toilets IMO

I'd like to see an alcoholic platypus who had aspirations of becoming a police officer, but was kicked out of the academy and has turned to a life of crime. Inept crime.

Agreed. Every idea that sounds good can be executed terribly and make the portfolio look bad whereas good execution of cliches could get you work.

sketch em out and show some rough concepts/silhouette, easier to see your ideas that way and probably get better feedback too

The first two sound like they'd make for the most interesting models, though I agree with Johnny.. you should really explore them on paper first before picking one, even if it's only thumbs/poses.
