By now, I would have expected it to drop in price. The technology inside it has dropped. I would only CONSIDER buying one if it dropped to a tenth of its current price
yeah been around for a while =P but none the less such a awesome keyboard. The fact the layout is as easy as bringing a template to photoshop, is just awesome. ahh, one can dream
What the hell, that sucks. Ya ya blah blah little screens on every key but when each key lags like that (the Shift key making all letters Upper Case, for example) it totally makes me think their pricetag is a joke.
It costs that much because its been in dev so long. I keep waiting for someone to take the idea and run with a quick, light, cheaper version. I've wanted one for a while but not with the lag or the price tag.
I've always wanted a keyboard this way (even when this concept wasn't out yet) as I've been use to switch from QWERTY to AZERTY all the time. And when I saw they made it a kind of "piece of design" and ultra over priced, I just though wtf ... they can keep it deep where i think.
wish they would release this http://www.artlebedev.com/everything/optimus-aux/
still expensive but imagine it set up your most used modeling operations(with custom icons).
that plus mouse would own so hard
i did a presentation on this keyboard a while back... each key is customizable, so you can change the picture on it. if you're a PC gamer, it would be cool.
if i had extra money laying around, i would totally get one.
the technology requires an LCD screen, a graphics card and a flash memory to store the image.
with some technical know how, you could probably build one yourself for about 250$.
