Hey Guys,
I'm Jim, a highschool student. I've been looking upon these forums for modelers for my projects in the past and finally decided today to join as I'm starting to model myself. I've fooled around with programs such as 3ds max for my projects but have never actually tried to make models myself. If any have any tutorials that they would recommend I'm all ears. (Mostly looking for 3DS Max)
If you are wondering about my projects, I do a lot of closed door things. The only thing I have really ever released to the public or told anyone about is a benchmarking system for computer I plan to release soon. (If you want to have some of your artwork featured please contact me, you will have full credits for your donations)
Other things I enjoy to do are photography, and other artistic things. I also play sports, Hockey and Lax, both of which I have played for over 12 years.
Thanks all! Plan to see me alot around here :poly124:.

Welcome!
I also play hockey, its been about 3 years since I was in a league. Before that I played for 8 years as right defense. I tried goalie for a year as well. Once I graduate I plan on starting up again, it is too much fun!
Hope you enjoy your time here!
A Quick note about 3ds max tutorial. What I did was ran through the tutorials that are found in Help dropdown box on the menu bar. I did them repeatedly and still doing them until those are memorized. That tutorial takes you from the newbie to the intermediate which is enough to know to create a scene atleast with a character and stuff like that.

I would recommend Gnomon tutorials for more advanced tutorials or Digital Tutors to learn the basics.
