The greedy part of me wishes they pushed a bit more of "next gen" kinda feel (aka new Aion screens) buuuttt... Guild Wars is one of those mmo's that can be played on a variety of computers and still look damn good.
in watching it again I gues i only did one of the crabscropionnonsense monsters and the big firey cage man. There are a lot of monsters to choose from.
There's won't be a subscription.
Jason: I feel pretty good about where we stand right now. "Next gen" is a buzzword and we are doing some pretty dope stuff in our engine.
I HATE mmo fantasy games. Than we visited arenanet with school. I purchases all Guild Wars games because their art just blew my mind. But I still hate mmos.

Nice work, man - the fiery cage creatures were awesome! Fantastic work overall, really atmospheric. I didn't play Guild Wars, but I'll definitely be checking this out.
But, as cool as all the art gets, and it's looking really nice no question about that, i'm really missing some shadows, and it gets more obvious the more detailed everything else gets, i mean, not even blob shadows? they are very simple and would add a lot.

I just watched the 720p trailer. Looks like there are shadows in some places and none in others; the guy in metal armor at the beginning is casting a faint shadow and the monsters that the people are fighting in front of the windmill are also casting shadows. Could be different builds of the game or something.
Environments are looking wonderful! Very consistent, creative and beautiful. It looks better than any other MMO I've seen, including AION. The range of creatures also looks huge compared to WoW and such where they just rename the same player model. I love how you guys still are keeping the monthly fees away too.
I think the races are fine. Would rather have 3 very unique human races along with two original ones than a Dwarf, Elf and Human set up.

1 Magic Nature animals (Cold)
1 Magic tech (Cold)
1 Evil
Now the real question is, can you jump in GW2? One of my biggest complaints about the first one was not being able to jump. I know I'm nuts.

I'm pretty happy with the variation of the races, honestly. They are quite diverse in culture, really.
