Got in an argument with another indie developer about bad games. My stance, turn people off the company and future releases. His stance? People don't care, and look at each game or product individually versus history. Tried to use this game as an example to show him wrong, but he had never heard of it.
Sadly, the first production game I ever worked on was probably the worst game I've ever played. Though it was 3x better than Big Rigs! lol. Averaged a 3.0 review. Sooo bad.
I remember playing an adventure game once that was amazingly bad in a good way. I think I played it through a pc emulator like mame. It was something like bobs dangerous adventure or something silly like that and all it consisted of was basic imagery and a question and if you answered wrong your character would die in a horrible way that related to the question being asked.
Uhh yeah scarface was almost as bad as the godfather games!
If mafia 2 is an console oriented crapgame loosing all its roots to the best game ever
but still making 3 billion in a few weeks i may have to throw my computer out of the
window. Damm these consoles destroying almost every pc game!
It doesn't count if it's designed to be a nigh unplayable game. That video doesn't really give an indication of what the game is all about. You have to drive from Arizona to Las Vegas, going at a maximum of 45 miles per hour. In realtime. This takes 8 hours. There is no scenery and no traffic. The wheels are out of alignment so the bus pulls to the right so the player can't simple wigh down the accelerator and go watch tv.
They have a sponsored Desert Bus session to raise money for Child's Play every year. I think this years is going on as we speak

I remember people and reviews going, "yo these may be gta clones but they aint bad, they have their own thing going."
I am always super-duper open minded so I gave em a go, they didn't play the pc version like I did, oh the horror...

I played it once... it was terrible. I dont even understand how they made it so bad. :P
Later, I would never admit in public.

Castles & Catapults (released April 2003)
Those where some pretty pissed off customers.
But Atari had worse... 911 Fire Rescue. There was a bug where you couldn't actually pick up the people to rescue them...
makes me want to puke
lmao!! Small world man, haha.
And yeah, I BET they were pissed. I left about 5 months before the "game" shipped. Worst. Studio. Ever.
