Hey there, I have a problem using displacement map, I have a displacement map of earth, which I apply to a sphere and everything works fine aside from one thing after its baked/rendered, as you can see in the image the edges are sorta smered out, what I am after is a very sharp edge marking the land borders, instead of having this blending that occures. My subdivision on the sphere isnt all that high, it's 200, but if I chunk it up much higher the comp I have here cant handle the rendering. Is there anywhere in maya where you can set it to extrude the edges 90 degree outwards or w/e instead of using this sort of blending, or is this happening becuase of the subd being to low?
