I'm hunting around for a good text to speech program and or plug-in that will read web pages. I'm wondering if anyone else has looked into this?
I'm using Vista and XP, the text to speech included in both of those blows ass. It either reads everything, menus check boxes and only the window you have highlighted, like you're blind or only reads things in office...
I've tried all the plug-ins for firefox and they are slow, cumbersome and have annoying hard to listen to robot voices.
So far NaturalReader seems to be the best I've found. The free version is annoyingly robotic on purpose and they have two other versions where it gets better... but I'm not sure its $99 worth of better if I still have to manually highlight text or listen to it read everything.
Anyone have any suggestions?
