Yeah, I'm not a big name, but I decided to whip up a sketchbook thread. First up is a combination of about fifteen different things I've seen on the Internet and elsewhere, I call it the Brainbat:
Idea is the clawed bits will be webbed like a dragon's wings. Still have to retopo it, add the webbing, and then add a few poly rings to alpha map inside the mouth as lamprey-like teeth. In a notional game environment, this critter will likely act to drain both HP and MP, cuz it sucks blood and sucks brains.
I'm planning on 2k - 4k tris for him including the webbing, will get started on the retopo later tonight.

Overall, thats a good structure for the little bugger, nice job.
And actually that's one of the few things that's NOT an inspiration here - never looked through that splatbook, meself.

Ah, i see - it just seemed like the kinda monstrosity that would turn up as one of their creations.
Got several seams to work out, and areas to touch up (like the lowest spikybit, and changing the claws to look like claws)...
I also need to learn how to use Marmoset...
