I've somehow managed to disable my viewport drop down menus, the menus that appear when you click on the [+] [Perspective][Smooth + Highlights] etc. Any idea how to get them back?
I just looked through the viewport configuration and preferences options and I can't seem to find an option to turn off the "Perspective" etc. display.
So I don't really have an answer for you.
But, you could try to go to "Viewport Configuration" Layout Tab, and switch to a different layout.
I think this *Might* reset you viewport to the default settings, thus fixing your problem.
Worth a shot I think...
Worst case scenario, you could reinstall max, although that would be a pain in the ass if you have a lot of custom scripts, I know.
Thanks guys, deleting the ini file didnt work, and I cant actually change the viewport layout unless theres another way of accessing those options other than right clicking on the viewport name (which does nothing currently)
Main Menu > Views > Viewport Configuration > Layout Tab.
Update video drivers? If you did this recently think about reverting back. If not, updating them might do the trick.
If that fails try switching it to use another display driver.
Main Menu > Customize > Preferences > Viewports Tab > Choose Driver Button > Revert from Direct3D > Choose Software or OpenGL
