I cant download it at the moment, guessing the site is being hammered but from the tutorial it looks like a snap to get basic stuff going. I cant wait to get my grubby mitts on it, shame they dont have mirrors
What! Didn't know it was coming out early for pre-orders. Going to pre-order it tomorrow probably. The site is down now from too many people downloading it.
Looked at the tutorials, and I gotta say the editor is nice and clean. I can't stand thousands of buttons and menus and shit like that. That's my problem with UnrealEd, it's just daunting to look at.
It also seems to be fairly intuitive making stuff.
I've yet to try it, but so far it seems to be a fusion of the best things from Hammer and Unreal.
Just had a mess about with this, the tools remind me of FEAR's Worldedit, so much better than csg brushes and hollowing stuff out.
Performance is really good too considering its all dynamic lighting. You can place quite a few lights with shadows without any performance loss or at least thats how it feels. Deferred lighting maybe?
Anyone got the 'atmosphere' option working on the spot lights? (Edit - seems to have been removed in the current build)
I love the lightings tools. Although I still suck at lighting I like to think I suck a little less in this engine.
Looks pretty cool to me (despite lack of obvious lower light source). Is there any way to test this out if you don't have a cd key, or is that just one of the perks to pre-ordering?

Aye you need to pre-order to get access to the tools.

Nice "modeling" tools as well, wish Unreal had a couple of those.
Great job all around NS2 guys

About 20mins of fiddling.

Not yet, they haven't released their other tools. Heard there based around collada, so hopefully we can export from a range of apps that support it.
Custom textures are a go though.
