Right, so I've been playing a bit of BF2 lately as I've always been doing too and from since its release. It's just recently after getting the booster packs and picking it up again that I decided to buy the Special Forces pack from ea's website.
I were rather hesitant at first as I didn't have that much trust for them, but it was really cheap so decided to go with it. Turns out it didn't work after all.
As soon as I open the download manager it says the pack is already downloaded, but it's not there, and I tried re-installing bf2 and pressing the 'remove temporary files' button a bunch of times. I also hit the play button but the screen just goes black for a sec and then nothing happens. And eventually it seems I'll just have to download it with a torrent and use the provided cd-key from the purchase.
Now, is it just me, and the fact that I'm using vista 64-bit that I encounter these issues or is ea's downloads really that crappy and unreliable? :poly127:
Cheers

yeah i hear that bought bf2 Complete Collection using ea downloader about 6 months ago have yet to get it working.
and EA thinks its cool to charge full price(or near enough) for a old game download
i think i've narrowed it down to some stupid problem in patching (a download service hampered by patches LOL).
but to be honest i'm fed up with it so no bf2.
i did see that STEAM now has BF2, maybe if it has less problems i'll pay for it all over again.
Use Steam.
Xeno: It comes with euro force and armored fury as you can see here: patch details. but it doesn't add special forces. Well, for some weird reason it adds a link to it in the bf2 mod-section, but you can't activate it unless you actually purchased and installed it though.
