Anyone know any tricks to lower file size without losing quality/ size?

Best i can do right now is to shrink my image down and do a super low quality gif, which really kills my images.

I'd post this in the QA thread, but it's kinda dead, also figured others would run into the same issue and it's late in the game and this is pretty important .

You'll need to find a jpg cruncher. You can squeeze some good quality out of one with low file sizes. I'm in the process of looking for one I had (just got a new PC). If I find it I'll post here.

I'm just using the "save for web" stuff of photoshop, and adjust the settings to be under 350k. Maybe not the best solution but it seems to work fine.

What version of PS are you guys using? I remember this option reducing color depth. Looks good?

Try saving as a png on 'save for web' - you won't get any of that horrible jpg compression and it will be tiny in filesize.
Great for images created digitally but doesn't work so well with scans & photos due to their huge range of colours.
