I opened this thread, and then instead of responding I got caught up checking out your DW thread, haha.
I like the way the proportions are looking on Cosmosis so far. Are the female concepts a part of this same universe? The first thing I noticed is that his suit seems pretty tech-heavy and that they don't have much (not a bad thing, it allows them to look like actual females and not robots )
This is just my personal opinion, but I think that if you are going to include any tech on the females, or give them weapons like they have in the concepts, then maybe you could try to keep some of the shapes the same between those technical elements (like the capsule shapes that he has all over).
Once again, this is all relative, I'm not sure what direction your story is going in but the stuff you have so far is awesome and I'm looking forward to seeing more
Fiveways, I'm going for a sorta scavenged high-tech retro look all over, but with the girls it'll be more retro. it was described on ga.org as Buck Rogers meets Dead Space, and I think that's definately how i want to push it. I'll make sure to keep things relativly consistant though, thanks:)
The portions of the male mesh looks wrong the arms are bigger in width than legs. and the are to far from each other were u have the ball cover but the overall is great

I kind of assumed most of that was intentionally stylized. It does look good as a whole, though.
I like your sketches, it's good work. The only thing that's bugging me is the name. "Cosmosis Jones"? Any particular reasoning behind that?
Two Listen, you are correct sir, thanks for answering
as far as the name, I should clairfy. Cosmosis is the title, Jones is the main guy, and it's a working title at that (see post 1). There's a more detailed thread at ga.org, but basically it started as me trying to finish off my failed dw3 entry, and grew into what it is now.

Good deal, it's nice to see people running off of the DW entries. I know a lot of them fall by the wayside, even after all that work, simply because they didn't cut it or didn't make the deadline when in fact almost all of them have wonderful potential.
The name only bugs me because of its ridiculous similarity to this. I did not like that movie. But, that is obviously near irrelevant to this. :P
Great work with those sketches, they read really well. Only thing I would say is that on the Jones model your knees are a bit jelloee-- by that I mean the joint could be cut a little more severely, the curve of the bent knee is too soft. That and, while admittedly it is a stylized figure, the proportion of the upper and lower legs seem a bit off-- you might give his lower legs just a tad more length. But yeah, you've got some sweet stuff Scudz.
so, you'll have to forgive me here, but I'm taking a dump on my, er, dump.
this is various stuff I've done over the last little while, usually while at work and just a black bic pen on paper. I'm trying to group 'em together by post starting with the more "assorted" of the pics:
thanks Pangahas! the Samurai Dino's (vs Evil Monkey Air Pirate's) were for the ongoing GA Chess mini-comp Which keeps getting pushed to the side, two of them are up in my portfolio but I was only able to finish the Rook as the polypaint I was trying to learn for the Pawn crashed and killed the file
A lot of these are updated from previous versions but I wanted to share. For my next sort of on-going thingy I've decided to merge my Cosmosis and Monkey vs Dino stuff into my Barnaby York emporium for a sort of grand sci-fi comic mash of stuffs.
So the general idea is that Barnaby York and Co travel the galaxy fighting monsters and space demons under the guise of the Traveling Wonder Emporium. Barnaby is the captain and space-pirate, the monkey his first mate (name pending). Jones is the pilot and all-around >snip< grown up Spaceman Spiff. The space-princess is the squad leader and the samuraiaptor the warrior. The strongman and clown are just background dudes for now.
and then just a separate update of Who ya gonna call?

moving on to the Pirateer (started in waywo):
just re-installed my scanner and found this in the bed:
it was the basis for my Flying Monkey entry at GA's OZ comp and I think I threw up the rather mediocre colour version in the waywo thread a while back

(the first name was Barnaby Stronginthearm but I thought better of it)
