I'm using the new UDK with a small team to make a 2.5D side scroller. I'm wondering if anyone has any tips for UDK. Like, would you always use BSP where possible or meshes. I think we'd use BSP for the ground where possible and meshes for decorations. What would be the best way to set up the camera, etc?

    3dbuzz.com had a tutorial for settin the camera to work for a top down game, i imagine you can tweak that for a sidescroller. i would use static mesh for most everything, especialy things that will be repeated much, i would probably personaly have almost everything that can be seen be smeshes (i'm actualy considering a udk game and we are tossin around a few games and a couple of them are 3d sidescrollers) just need scripters ...
