A few members on here told me that i should explode my meshs to help with the baking of maps im not to sure what they mean by that can someone please explain what it is and how i do it?

I found it with the following Google search, 2nd one down.
site:boards.polycount.net explode mesh
EDIT: By putting "site:boards.polycount.net" in front of the search terms will make Google only search polycount, the same thing can be done with any other site.

Import your mesh and use Quadric Edge collapse decimation under Filters.
