3ds Max - Advice wanted for detailing a model

I made myself a robot-like model (which can be seen in the link below) and I was wondering how I can make it look more interesting, it is a bit boring right now. Can anyone give me some advice on this? Preferably without too difficult techniques, because I'm still a beginner with 3ds Max :)

Thats no robot thats a space marine.

Some ideas, an chapter insignia on some of the knees and shoulder pads. The mouth piece pulled forward/extended. The shins lower legs and feet shrunk a bit. Lastly use a colour scheme from one of the chapters ultramarines or blood angels the rest are rubbish(except for the space wolves, wolves in space is always a winner).

    hi Iljoesjin

i think, what you want in first place, is to rework some of your proportions.
i.e. the hands and fingers are not matching the rest of the model.
then to your question for making it more interesting. you'd profit from a good color texture on your model. perhaps with some decals on it. some smaller details just on the color level. that would not include any geometry changes..therefore easy for you to solve.
also a catchy pose can make a big difference. the current one is not suitable.

concerning highpolydetails you should do a search on tutorials about this..
anyway, if you have plated armor like this, you could make use of some notches, rivets, LED's and stuff.
