Hey guys, I was wondering what type of configuration you guys use whenever rendering normal maps or Ambient Occlusion at the company or at home for the contractors.

Q9450 OC to 3.2ghz, I normally just do low quality unless its going to be presented.

Usually just try to keep AO samples as low as possible, since cranking that up is a nightmare.

Try to keep everything as low as possible to be honest /shrug depends on the project I guess.

at work - dual core, 3gigs, windows xp, 9800gt, one monitor

at home - quad 2 core, 8gigs, windows vista 64 bits, gf260

Comp at home is way better than the comp I had before at work but that's a given.

I'm using an i5, 8gb ram (blazing quick dominators), win7 64bit and an xfx 4890.

i7920 asus rampage II extreme 6gb ddr3 ram 2*500gb hdd nvidia quadro fx 1700 one 22 wide screen one old 19 crappy tft.
I love it exept for that goddamm quadro card.
