NURBS get converted to triangles at render time anyways. Is there any benefit as to why your modeling with NURBS as apposed to sticking with polygons in the first place?
Max doesn't have good NURBS support from the off anyways.
NURBS in Max are very outdated, and haven't been updated since version 4. They can be somewhat useful of a small handful of tasks, but are pretty much considered a niche modeling tool. Is there a specific reason why you're using NURBS as opposed to polygon modeling?
