Hey Dudes,
I thought i would chuck these up here to get feedback as I go along and hopefully improove my painting / and 3d at the same time.
What im trying to do is focus on bits and pieces first, eyes, noses, mouths, ears etc, then ill move onto heads , hands feet etc etc - Paint them in 2d and then sculpt them each day.
Rinse, repeat and hopefully improove!
Started with an ear:

Btw what MatCap are you useing ?

Kharn: Im using the Mudbox Matcap
OrganizedChaos: Amen to that brother, i hope that after several weeks of practice the next time i sculpt a face, the result will improove!
Woogity: HAHAHA it looks like the ear grown off the back of a mouse a little.... But no i really need to sculpt them off planes, its giving me a much better understanding of building the forms and volumes from absolute 2d.
Todays one, eye.
So many problems I can see, argh oh well this is what came out of the session, painted it first then sculpted all the forms of the eye from a plane.
Looks good to me or maybe I shuold say it looks better than I can do
Very nice eye sculpt only thing i guess is the tear part of the eye (i cant remeber its actual name ) coud do with being a tad less square but thats just nit picking.
Out of intrest how much time are you spending on these ?
Amazing work

I'm kind of jumping between learning to model the form and the details.
How did you do the eyes? Is the geometry cut out or is it just indented back a bit?
