Here's some of my work from the strategy game hearts of iron 3, it's been out for a while now, although I haven't been able to post any until now.
The screens are from the maya viewport.
The tanks are around 1000 tris each and a 512 diffuse, plus a greyscale specular map with a channel that controls the color of the camouflage.
The tank-tracks has their own texture and material that scrolls.
I think they look pretty cool, hope you like it

mm if i should crit something i would jump on the tracks first, i think they look a bit boring and noisy, first and last tank tracks looks like it's dried plants, second one looks better but i think you still have some love worth giving .
edited the tracks now, looks better now i think.
Beware the ugly Maya viewport bitmap filtering though.. Texs look noisier and confusing than actually are, on the shots.
