Could you please post smaller images of your sketches? Thank you!

That being said, I wouldn't spend a lot of time rendering Greek columns with flaming bowls on top of them unless you're going to render them in a composition. This kind of stuff is best referenced from photo.

While it may sound interesting to put the acropolis under ground, you should remember that the reason this building was built this way and the reason it was built in this location was because of wind/light. There are many other factors, but these are the two that make this idea not really work for myself.

It's important to think about how things are built/why when putting together an environment... because despite the fact that many people won't understand exactly why something doesn't look/feel right... there's something being communicated by these very recognizable forms/buildings that make people go through a subconscious checklist to make sure they like it.

I ran into the same problem with my initial idea for an environment... trying to put a gothic cathedral underground was a terrible direction that ended with me saying, "OMG i don't have nay idea how i'm going to make this work... " and all the reference that would even suggest a similar idea was from sketches of dante's inferno, which wasn't that interesting to build (imo)

Some things to think about as you move forward with further concept pieces.

    Good luck!

Hey everyone! Well I apologize for such low updating by our part. We will now be constantly updating this thread with our updates of assets and such.

Our team is Team Muffin Stuffers and it consists of me Sigodin and MrRivas as well. Our 3D End Game piece is called "HADES' END" and takes the theme of an underground temple that is destroyed. It will include pieces of a broken statue of Hades scattered all around. These pieces of the statue will of course not be detailed, but will have broken cracks and vines/roots entangling them. Our 3D scene will all be brought together by a waterfall flowing in the mid-ground to background, as well as the detail of the cave surrounding the area.

This idea pretty much can be interpreted in many ways. For example the fact that Hades is the God of the Underworld/Death, and it is his END which could mean eternal life for us all. Another perspective is that our player has just defeated the boss Hades turning him to stone and destroying the statue, temple, and cave surrounding him.

We are reaching the bar for the due date and we will be submitting even more updates of our 3D piece. Again sorry, for such a long delay with otherworldly matters to attend to and all.

These are our initial concepts that we came up with beforehand. Please note these are not in reference to our new concrete plan/idea for our scene.

These are our concrete concepts in which our scene will actually look similar to. Again the pieces of the broken statue will be scattered and will not be detailed(they will only have break cracks and vines surrounding them).

Will be posting up a lot of our assets real soon, so keep checking in.
