So continuing my section from that Orc I'm working on, I'm just making some models in a Warcraft style.
I've never done anything like this, with mostly humanoids thus far, so this guy took me quite a bit of time. I studied a lot of game models for this, also looking to everquest and few celtic references. The traditional model for like Nozdormu was good, so were references like Alexstrasza and Malygos.
I plan on making 2-3 very different dragons from this base mesh, none of which should look at all like this. Here is the starting point I've got together though (for which I will add some spikes and further adjustments in Blender, then will sculpt in Zbrush).
C&C welcome as always, hope you like

I elongated the tail a little after i did this turntable, but i'm really trying to get the a snub look. I want this one to be the most masculine of the dragons I'll do, so i'm trying to get a really squat/tough look to him.
and here is a picture of cage model.
I plan on sculpting this guy now before I start on any of the other cages.
Started sculpting. Thought I'd upload what I did before I go to bed. Sorry if there's a little too much smoothing, I just wanted to get it looking a little cleaner. I also know there are a lot of little almost unecessary movements, but I'm just figuring out what I want to do with it
so i'm back. sorry again for the delay, i've really been jonesing to get back to this guy, so i finally got some more detailing in.
it should be fairly easy to tell where i've detailed so far and where i haven't. what might not be so easy is what is finished sculpting. since i'm happy with the general layout, i'm kind of mixing detailing in with rougher sculpting. sometimes alphas and detail help me get a better feel for some bigger scale changes.
