That's really cool! I've always been a huge fan of the Gnomon vidoes and what they do, though they can be a bit pricey. Maybe not individually, but once you've gone through a ton of them it adds up :P

This should hopefully open some knowledge up to people who previously wouldn't have accessed it.

I can't pay monthly? I have to lock in to a full year? That doesn't appeal to me at all, I would rather continue paying for each individually when the odd one comes out that I am interested in.

I can see how it would be great for studios who want their artists to have access to it though.

Looks REALLY helpful! If you make use of it it's a lot better than having to buy every DVD one by one. Might get a month or two subscription of this soon.

Oh wait, just saw Frump's post. I don't really want to spend 500 on it right now... Really wish there was a monthly payment plan instead of just the year.

As long as they still have the option to get DVD's it's cool.

They had to do this i guess. Digitaltutors.com did this some time ago and i've been useing it ever since. It's great.

Yeah, but DT didn't retain the option of selling individual DVD's or downloads on a per-title basis, which isn't so great.

I guess by not making it monthly they avoid people jumping in and downloading tons in one month and then not subscribing anymore. However, I don't agree that the abusers should ruin it for everyone. There are other measures they could take to avoiding that.

Hell, I might even consider it if it was a 3 month subscription. Something $100 or less but right now, it's a bit out there... They don't release enough videos a year relevant to any one person's interests to make it worth it.

Otherwise, buy individual dvds I think.

I've paid 500 for art classes before. Most classes with decent instructors cost more than that. If you look at it like that, it's really reasonable pricing. I'll probably get a subscription.

Once you watch an instructional dvd, do you really wanna watch it again? Usually just absorb the knowledge and move on.

Would be really benificial for Universitys etc to sign up for this. Lots of the Dvds in my library at uni but you can only take them out for a day which feels short.
