Bikini Girls with Machine Guns was a bit long for a title box, but thats the our team name.
none of us are, in fact, girls so you'll have to use your imaginations. bikini girls with machines guns is more of a state of mind. the coolest thing one of the coolest people on the planet could come up with. its the penultimate.
we've been bouncing around a bunch in the back ground, trying to get our schedules to mesh (three seperate countries, two continents, three seperate native languages) and were starting to gel.

The high level concept for our piece is as follows:
A beautiful mountaintop medieval castle, surrounded by a small town, is under attack by an unknown assailant. All we know is that they are using some sort of mechanized digging machines to bore holes underneath the mountain kingdom, undermining its stabiltiy. The people of the mountaintop are afraid to leave, but know that if they stay it will eventually mean their deaths. This is the End Game for them and their way of life.
Were pulling our inspiration for a multitude of sources (obviously) but our to really hammer home the 'GAME' aspect of the challenge, were incorporating elements of the classic title 'Dig-Dug'. The digging machine will have the name and logo airbrushed onto the nose, ala the nose art of WWII.
I'll throw up some of our concepts later today. Just wanted to get our spot warmed up. Were coming.

From that we choose which way to go further. A somewhat more realistic approach is what I wanted to do first - but Shadows suggested to go more into game-style. So I tried both.

We decided to go for the more blocky looking version.
First we did lots of reference callouts - not sure if thats interesting here, but I can post it anyways for now:
Most of the town should be fine with that, but for the bigger buildings I'll make some separate drawings. Here is the one for the Palace:

We also needed more concepts for the rocks - we'll have to figure out if we can manage so much though in the short time. Also the palace is now concepted.
