his shoulders seem a little weak for the rest of the body. also, the top of his pectorals look like they could come out a bit, they're kind of deflated.
your forearm/wrists are obviously something you need to careful with, because this looks like an artistic decision to me. whenever you do something like that though, it's always a pretty fine line between interesting and bothersome. from this angle, i can deal with it, but i'd like to see that animated etc to be sure if that's not gonna be too thick.
also, i'd consider reworking your knees a little. looks a little too much like a nexus of muscles instead of a joint
EDIT: i'd also smooth out the divet below the navel. looks like he's got two belly buttons
Well since I don't want to repeat anything anyone else said... A suggestion maybe. If you enlarge the fingers/ hands to match the size of the forearms and the rest of the body maybe the wrists will look a bit better.
And I don't want to seem rude, but the arm muscles look a bit like ninja turtle muscles, where as in comparison the muscles in the chest and torso look good!
i personally like when people push the proportions. i like the thick forearms, though, i think i would go a tad smaller for the biceps. really push that forearm even more. kinda like popeye.
May be russian coments are better?
Try to redo that wrist, it can be thick and cool at same time. You can use Hulk's pictures as a referense for the wrist.
Might be easyer to say it to you in russian, I'm bad in English too, So:
У тебя отсутствует запястье как таковое, надо как-то выделить в нём концы локтевой и лучевой кости, к тому же основание большого пальца смотрится неубедительно. I think that would help you. Here's my ICQ number if you want to ask something - 400066679
PS. Sorry dear polycounters, it is difficult to translate in English correctly even with Google-translator Just said about main problems in the wrist anatomy.
so i found this picture the other day, and loled because i remembered this thread.
looks like you tried to model that to the letter, and i suggest citing a reference or concept if you intend to call something your own. in the off chance that your models are just very very similar...consider this a great reference
yeah, an orc has been modeled thousands of times before, wouldn't be surprised if I could find two or three more that have a stunning resemblance to yours.
anyways, looking good, but I think the armor and boots are a bit flat and boring atm,
I think add some more geometry to support the details? dunno since its at a weird angle. looks like its flat with normal map applied.
wow those are some powerful lower arms, give him some more difference in the skin tone, maybe even some minor hints of lizardlike skin, so it will feel more dynamic.
also, you should give subsurface scattering a chance, it could be well worth this character.
not a fan of his muscles, they're very blobby and defined in all the wrong ways. they look like baloons rather than the elastic bands that they really are.
also, work on the specular values, why does his skin look like silk?
Very nice! But you should fix the shin guards... they're toor round and dont look like metal at all. I love what you did with the face. But I see no scars. you should add some wounds or something. still, amazing job!
Think about facial bone structure when conveying characters.
This is the weakest element by far of this piece imo. When compared to the orc posted by rasulek, yours looks like the weak inbred cousin of him. His jawline is particularly steep, giving him a more frail, alien appearance. When you pose him (presumably in his 'bad ass' pose pointing towards the camera), I see him more like saying in a meager voice: "Duh.. do I hafta go that way boss?"
In other words, not very bad ass!
I mean, the overall presentation is pretty decent. It just lacks some craft elements along with what I mentioned above.

Wrist doesn't look well, i mean he has no wrist Forearm is too thick. Hmm... may be i don't like overall proportions...
But i see you gained up a lot of skillz since DWIV, keep it up! I'll be watchin' this thread

I think we may have communist spies here!
