Hey guys,
http://www.shapeways.com/
I came across this the other day and thought it was pretty cool. This website will take your 3d models that you upload and create 3d prints of them - the cost of them varies by the type of material you use and how much of it that it takes to make the model. The models can be sold as well if you want - but it's cool to think that you could have your own characters or whatever covering your desk. :-)
There was another website for making board games, and you can find all kinds of print-on-demand sites.
[Just in case you don't know what a 3d print is - it's an actual, real life 3d model (i.e - statue, figure) of your 3d model]

has anyone ever used them? I am making a bust I want to get printed out soon, and was planning on using shapeways and was wondering what people thought about them

You can just send them a ZBrush file and they'll do all the setup, printing and cleanup. Prices seem reasonable too, especially considering the quality shown in some of their examples (check the "flickr" link on their site for those).
Here's a great set of images from a guy on ZBrushCentral who got his Judge Dredd sculpt printed (and painted) by Ownage!

A very nice guy named desmonda on zbc runs it and is very passionate about it.
They are located in china and as far as i read are almost unbeatable in pricing.
He also does very nice colorings and ao washes.
Polycounter owned and operated, and prices lower than shapeways. Keep it in the family.
Shapeways, here we come

sorry, I had too.
don't mind the embarrassing 5-min website. we've got a new fancy one in the pipe
but yeah - we'll prototype the shit out of your models
