Did a leather sofa today. How can I make this little piece more interesting etc?
The specular map is very wip so it looks a little bit weird at the moment.
Looks nice.
Colours are a bit dark and the studs (brass/gold?) don't look like metal, consider desaturating everything a bit. Other than that, throwing in a couple of edgeloops in the middle of the seat cushions to distort the shape would help get away from that boxy look.
Proportions looks a little off, but it's hard to say for sure without some reference images. If someone were to sit on the sofa, lets say their back touches the backrest and the knees come up to the edge of the cushion, the height of the backrest would reach below the shoulder blades - making for some uncomfortable seating.
Biggest issue for me is the hard edge at the front of the cushions and the arm rests. Might want to chamfer some edges to break it up. You could also try some mudbox or zbrush work on the cushions to create a some distortion of their surface and give the impression of a well forged butt grove. Just think about where the material would stretch over time. Lastly in the diffuse map maybe look for ways to work in a some yellowish or tan tones where the leather is most worn or faded even a few cracks if you want it to look really aged.

Imo that side that goes along the cushions needs to be more round.
Nice texture work tho.

The sofa is very low poly now for such a object. I think Im going back and do some sculpting and then make a new lowpoly. Thanks for all comments!
Here´s the wire now, around 360tris.
edit: now that i think about it, if this thing has mirrored UVs, you might wanna keep that center edgeloop, lol.
