Im trying to make an AO map for my low-poly model, but i just can not get it right. When i make a normal light trace render, everything seems right, but after rendering to texture, i get a mass. Im using the same parameters for the two render,

Just started modelling and rendering not so long ago, i have read a lot of articles about rendering to texture, but i just can not found solution ... bad uv maps or geometry? Have tried to reset xform, collapse to editable mesh etc, but just can not find out.

If they're stacked or overlapping you'll need to move the "mirrored" UVs outside the 0-1 range (since that's all that gets baked).
Just make sure to move them by exactly one UV unit so that their relative position in texture space is the same.
That's my guess anyway.
