Hello polycount! This is my first time posting here, and I am excited to finally be joining the community. This is the first piece of art I have worked on in a few months, and I look forward to hearing what you all think. I chose the following Axe design from:
http://www.warhammeronline.com/conceptart/index.php
My aim for this project is to take this design into current-gen standards and retain the forms as much as possible. I am not attempting a low-poly diffuse only hand-paint. I will be hand-painting the diffuse/spec maps and use only subtle normals.
At this point, I have the normal/AO/Cavity bakes done and the diffuse is in progress. Current Tri count is 3,900.
But for now, I will be working solely on UC as a part of team
Söta Pojkar.
Good luck to everyone working on UC!

Also, you have quite a lot of polys on your model. the polycount could probably be halved without loosing your silhouette.
A.Kincade: Thanks a lot man!
slipsius: I can definitely see what you are saying. I just recently got 3.5 and I cannot wait to apply the new tools to this model. This was my last 3.1 sculpt.
natetheartist: Again I completely agree with the 'gooey' observation. I have faith in 3.5, hard surface in zbrush exists now nate! Embrace it! The polycount is too high, but this is what I use for baking. I will cut the mesh down once the bake is up to polycount standards
Agreed on the blade.. you may want to use hard polygroups over there.. looks too soft and have artifacts given by a +90 degrees smoothing.
