I felt uneasy looking at some of those, so good job Although the shotgun shell necklace seems a lot "easier" than the slow, painful deaths implied by all of the poky ones.
Wow, this is fantastic work! I'm curious to know where you got your references from, besides the movie, because you got some pretty crazy devices here.
most of the main traps had 1024s for diffuse and normal, 512s for spec. The Reverse Bear Trap helmet actually had a few 1024s because it was going to be seen full screen at the beginning of the game, with the camera focusing on the clock timer on the back and the front grill and such.
I am officially creeped out! haha. Great works. I don't know why but I am always a fan of people who do furniture well. I know that doesn't sound like a compliment but you just rarely see a couch that is done so well it stands totally on its own. Great job!
I couldn't imagine modeling that stuff all day, but they look good to me. The only thing that is bothering me is the shotgun shells. The little indents look a little weird, but if they are like that in real life or your concept then I apologize in advance.
SanderDL, these assets are all from the game. It came out last Tuesday. Check it out, maybe you'll like it. Now that you mention it, I can see the blurriness you are mentioning. I'll have to improve on that in the future.
Thanks for the great comments! I'm surprised, I thought I might get dinged for it being SAW stuff. Seems like a lot of people's knee-jerk reaction to SAW is disgust. I can't really blame them, I suppose, they aren't really my own cup of tea... fun assets to make though, I have to admit.
Awesome art, and I loved the movies. (Yeah, some of the later ones started to suck, but the first one was flippin sweet!) I honestly felt like the AO needs more work, as a lot of the surfaces tend to blend together. It's harder to sell believably what with all the rust and dark metals, but a many of the surfaces could have had more darks for the intersections. (IMO)
What Engine did you guys use? It looks like Unreal, but wasn't sure. Might have to check this game out!

Can you give any info on texture maps, such as sizes?
Thanks for the comments!
it physically pains me to say this, but the SAW series is the top-grossing horror franchise of all time in unadjusted dollars.
shitty movies? all of them after the first one, YES.
money makers that people are going to milk? FUCK YEAH.
Doesn't detract from this fantastic artwork though!
Really nice assets here
Got a few realtime vids of a few of the traps, with animations where applicable.
Back Breaker (with animation)
Venus Helmet (with animation)
Shotgun door traps
Reverse Bear Trap
Shotgun Collar
With some many nails in the head clapper, it looks like it would smoosh your head more the puncture?
Either way nice artwork!!!
Thanks so much!!
Some of your textures are a little bit blurry. I would look into a way of shapening them.
Nice addtion to the portfolio!
