I completely agree they are the best, my 2 favorite fighters. Thanks

The idea is a Carnival. Not sure what yet but something has happened to the city and they all need to escape. The roads are so busy that there is no point in using them. The carnival has hot air balloons, and these are going to be used for the escape.
The first shot i am thinking you will see into the fair with typical fair stuff Ferris wheel and more. I want it to show a picked apart fair with a sign that points to the hot air balloons. In the mid background you will see Balloons floating off into the sky.
The Second shot will be of the Field where all the Balloons are lifting off. Im thinking of maybe only having 1 or a couple left on the ground and doing a tall shot with the focus on the main balloon.
paranoidMonkey: Thanks, yah i'm feeling the idea. Let me know what you choose to do, I look forward to seeing it. I'm stoked to check out everyone else's work.
Im not the best concept artist so im going to do most of my concepting in 3d using proxies. Here is a proxy of the first shot. Got carried away on modeling the merry go round. Oops.
Let me know what you guys think of composition and any other critique. The more critique the better hoping to get lots while the competition goes on.
The signs in the first shot will be pointing to the hot air balloon rides.
Mimp. Thanks i agree. Im thinking of bringing the sign onto the 3rd, as i think it should be a focal point as its where the 'character's' are heading to escape, and it leads into the second shot. The second focus i was thinking is going to be the merry go round. Thanks for the input i totally agree. I plan on having some stuff behind, but not to much, i don't want the scene to get to cluttered.
Hey Rambo, its a good start but like Mimp said i think you could do with some sort of focal point or backstory. Why is it that the balloons are taking off from the fairground? Obviously that has to come across from your visuals as opposed to it being explained. It might be cool to have a final balloon tethered there waiting to aid you in your escape but with something preventing you from getting to it?
Anyway, good start. Look forward to seeing some more.
Frubes,
Thank you. I really like the idea of something preventing them from taking off. I have not pin pointed yet what that may be.
Here is a updated shot 1:
Let me know what you guys think?
Here is the beginning of shot 2:
The blocks int he images are going to be gates that would be used for a line of people waiting. Many are knocked over as in people were rushing to them and knocking them down while running in a straight path to them.
Im thinking maybe something like a burning city in the backdrop, something to show why the player would be in such a rush to make it to the balloons.

My eye is drawn to the empty space, is there going to be something in the background?
Anyway, good start. Look forward to seeing some more.
