ok wew.. finally got something to put up. between lots of work and a death in the family I managed to get some drawing time in before i head off for the funeral this weekend.
I'm doing a sorta of end of the line end game scene. a highly protected dome room controlled by a hanging tower in the middle. i'm thinking of having the main shot coming from one of the walkways with weapons firing towards the door. sorta like in the last matrix movie with the guns focusing on the machines breaking thru. In the center is a capsule containing something like a can of awesomesauce.
The second shot is going to be from the control room in the tower looking at the doorway. It'll have screens and gloves that will mimic the movement of two huge machine tentacles with grasper thingys. Thinking those will help breakup all the negative space and help give some organic flow to even out the scene. if those don't seem to fit well then I'm thinking some random machinery hanging from the ceiling may work as well.
Everything I have planned is setup to be very reusable and modular for time purposes. Don't have much of it. Also the camera placement now is just temporary. I'll play around with it once i can get a blockout in infernal.
I'll try and knock out the tentacles concept when I get back in town, along with the gun turret on the bottom of the tower.
decided i'm going to ditch the tentacles and go more techy with machinery hanging down from the ceiling. heres a rough of the main tower with the control room. its going to have vents the spew out poison gas and whatnot to make the environment inside uninhabitable. at the bottom a sentry gun will be placed. have the concepts for that, just have to scan them in sometime.
