its for a game called Armed Assault 2. This is the low poly version with some details already being worked up to the high poly version for normalmap baking.

Is the end of the barrel meant to be that big? I don't know anything about tanks but that seems a little large!

You might want to try a different lighting setup too, that looks like simple skylight global illumination, which doesn't really help pick out a lot of the details - get some actual directional lights in there to pick out the specular highlights on the edges and they'll also give the forms more volume, GI renders always look so "flat".
About the barrel, yeh haha its a 155mm self-propelled howitzer so its quite large.
Good point about the setup, I just wanted to see the ambient occlusion. Indeed next time I can post a more elaborate setup
