Ha, I'm guilty of always stopping and watching Independence Day whenever I'm channel surfing and find it. This movie looks like it'll be a blast to watch.

cg looks cool but holy fuck, driving through a building as it collapses wtf! and why in the hell wouldnt the plane immediatley try and gain as much altitude as possible instead of flying over the heads of people in the streets "thats right, ive got a plane motherfuckers!"

looks to be rediculous but will probably be a fun movie regardless if it makes you roll your eyes at every turn. thanks for sharing the clip

Looks very promising so far! i liked the day after tomorrow as well, even though the story wasn't all that intruiging at all :P.

I couldn't help but think the scale was TOO big and that the family saving seemed a bit silly, morally yeah, but come on. Would've just saved time and put a bullet through my head. (Then again that wouldn't be a very interesting story)

His movies are always laughably bad, which I'll have to say I think he's the only person in hollywood who can do this for me. Theres a lot of bad movies people get kicks out of, but I just find them unentertaining and bad, but Emmerich really pushes the entertainment/aweful budget to make it interesting.

You go to these movies for the special effects, I mean you KNOW they will be ok at the end of the movie (they get to a safe place that the government build years ago and oh look they've found it).
But the effects, come on, it's lovely

Also the new friend the family makes along the trip will die.

Looks awesome. Most of it is improbable, but that's why I watch these kind of films. Like you could drive a limo like that and escape so much destruction.

It doesn't make sense that they would be taking off in a plane then they're flying through a canyon of death with shit falling all around them.

I can't watch movies where people do things no REAL person would do in their right mind.

If you're in a plane and this shit is happening, you fly high in the sky.
