HI!
Well this game has been posted around, and I myself am getting tired of it, but hey, knowing how valuable feedback can be, I thought it shouldn't cause too much of a trouble doing it again.
Anyhow this is a game about witches (well, just one in fact) and represents the funmost part of their life: flying. That's about all there is since the game is rather simple too. The original code was written by a friend of mine some 5 years ago, then I took it and redid it almost completely. Also did the modeling and such.
So here is the important part: the pictures!
Witch:
The flight device:
The level (there is only one):
And the game itself:
Here is also a youtube video:

Sure enough, if you are still waiting for the Unearthly Challenge, might also try the game:

Please note: The Game May Have Bugs!!! Please try in Windowed mode first. For one, if you hit the win or alt key it will just crash.
Any feedabck is warmly appreciated
Thanks for viewing!

Not sure about the rings, I know it says flight sim but the rings could be changed into potion bottles or something. Also it feels a bit lonely, if you could introduce some other characters, traps or guns protecting the pickups that would be cool.
Otherwise really nice job, like what you have so far and the witch is hot!
Do the rings have to be flown-through in order, or is it random? You could really experiment with a 'track' of sorts by requiring the rings to be navigated in sequence, and really use the environment to provide additional challenge (flying under arches, between flag poles etc.) You could also introduce something like spells or powers to interact with the environment during flight, like opening doors or windows before flying through them, raising gates etc.
Character looks really nice, too. Good job.
So far this looks like a prototype regarding gameplay, you got it set up, graphics working ea and all, props for that!
Now I'd say let's test some new innovative gameplay, you say it's all about flying, how could you make flying more interesting? You seem to be very good at your own game, that's a hazard as well, how can you make it clear to new users, or what happens when you bump into something?
Tho I don't know your development team so I don't know how much freedom you have in doing quick gameplay prototypes.

jmiles > As much I would like to take credit for the code, I feel it would be rather inappropriate, at the least. The original code was written by Dimakos Ioannis back in in 2004, and since he is really busy right now (and also since most of the other programmers I know would rather solve some wicked problems sub-atomic-physics or something) I didn't really have much choice. Even though the code has been changed/ rewritten now, I used his code as a scaffolding. In other words, the game would have never even been possible if he didn't write it and until I learn how to program one on my own, all I can do is be forever grateful
woogity, StJoris, GCMP > I too agree, it is lonely. In fact, the only moving thing in the whole game is the witch, lol. Thing is, I am kind of working on a totally redone version of this and that's why I need to gather comments and critiques and then figure out what I can actually code in there.. The current game is extremely limited, because my skills are extremely limited. I really have no idea how to put together an AI, but it is something I would like to experiment with. I am also looking into other things that will make it more interesting, like making use of those cool real time physics libraries..
woogity > I like the idea about the tower. I was think about making an interior in the building, but the thought of it made me give up :poly121: However, a staircase shouldn't be too hard to do.
StJoris > At first I tried making it more interesting by making it harder to play, but it turned out to have disastrous effects. It is currently at the point where it has been significantly simplified and more pleasant to play, according to people. Since the shifting point, I've been trying to add small things that help the players, such as flight tricks and visual aids on the hud. Bigger changes would take longer to incorporate, but I am open to suggestions. When... if I move to a next version of it, starting the entire gameplay from scratch will also be an option.
danshewan > Lol, those are the headlights, case the witch needs to get home after a late night party... or something:
The rings are in a sequence and form a track that actually takes a few tries in order get "familiar" with it.. quite a few actually :poly121:.
GCMP > honestly I really wanted to model a hot chick and I also needed to make a witch at the same time, so I kinda combined the two activities.
And OMG there is totally a typo in the title.. a major fail!!
