This is one of those games where I am so offended by art I don't think I'll ever play it; but the gameplay looks ok and I love kotor(1, not 2) so if I can give it a shot for free, it may win me over.
It's kind of like WoW, in that it's embracing an art style that can be played on low system settings, rather than shooting for something ridiculously high, only to have it run like a slideshow.
Well it's not even the WoW style I'm offended by, its just the design of the characters (Which is very unWoW) it just reminds me of 1990s 3d like Reboot or Hot Wheels, there is just something about the proportions, faces, hair style that just honeslt irritates me a lot.
edit: Oh and not to go on a rant too much since the graphics are nice to look at, but out of ALLLLLLLLL the star wars art that has been around forever now and the million different art directions to go into; they couldn't pick one that is just as nice, low on system resources and have it be a little unWoW? I mean force unleashed was a pretty good looking game that looks pretty low on resources(minus the physics crap) that would have been a good start. ALso the colour palette seems off, I mean the star wars red and blue just doesn't look right in this.... but anyway, those aren't my main points for not liking the art, just a small comment.
my god this literally took me over an hour to get in today. after the same name over and over then i went from firefox to internet explorer it finally worked. WTF!!
I think whoever actually registered should get in considering how painful this was I'm sure most people just ended up giving up.

it looks decent enough, but i dunno if ill like it to tell ya the truth. its suppose to be focused on story, and really, i dont play mmo's for story... i play for character developement. i generally avoid the story at all costs. yes, i know those two, in a way are hand in hand, but i mean loot and skills i like to build. i dont really care about the background...
plus, sci-fi mmo's generally dont last very long.. so hopefully bioware used their epicness in a good way and made this one good
Hats off Lee, the graphics look great, I like the unique color palette you guys got going. The only thing that bothers me about the graphics in this game are the faces on the characters, they seem to lack "soul" like in Star Wars Galaxies. Characters were too thin and lacked personality.
I've actually never been a fan of bioware's gameplay. I think the old D and D rules are dated and just not much fun, they know this too and that's where this emphasis on story is coming from.
Something about the star wars license is poison these days. It's a combination of being restrained by series cannon and the sense that you can rely on the license to do the work for you. WOW had it figured out, balance gameplay to be fun in player vs player, and that robust system will spill into the single player combat.
But hey, maybe you guys can pull it off, i actually know very little about the game .
Oh, and the beta submission in. A bit buggy, but maybe that's just an ingenious way to weed out people who shouldn't be in the beta anyway
SO... where do I sign up to beta test their web page? ... wait ... I'm already in.. wow this is sooo awsome... so awsome I may not have time to sign up for that star wars game...

The game looks awesome dude, I am so stoked to play it. But be honest man, is this beta going to even happen in the near future or more like in a year from now?
