Gameartisans Minicomp submission.
It was a late submission, so I'm not holding my breath to place.
(Voting is here if you haven't done so already).

The theme was to take a 2D sprite, and recreate them in 3D.
I chose I-No from Guilty Gear.
2999 Triangles, 512 Diffuse for the character, and a 256 for the Guitar (Still working on improving my handpainted texturing skills)
The Guitar is an hommage to James Hetfields ESP Explorer that he used during the Justice For All tour (Have no idea why her original design is a Jazz guitar, when her special move is to strike a Thunderously-Metal Power-Chord that opens up hell and a shitload of demons attack you).

this is looking awesome! very good work!
I'm slowly becoming a fan of your Mr. Choi..
Late or no, good luck!!
Thank you for the inspiration, and good luck for the comp!!!
My only comment would be that the pose looks a little weak, doesn't really have much impact or style.
if you read the i-no upside down it reads oni.
Mimp, I 100% agree with you on that. It was transposed in ZB and rushed for the contest, but I'm gonna be rigging it properly and give it the proper rock goddess pose she deserves.
XD
Here it is!
I'll work on the presentation some more before posting it up on my website.
Glad you like it!

Very nice!
I wish you good luck on the comp ^_^
nice work!
It placed 4th in the contest (being a late entry, kinda surprised it got that high)
I fixed the pose to the point where I'm a bit happier with it:
i've always loved the craziness and creativity of the GG universe (and more recently the blazblue one) you really executed this well dude.
bravo! *claps*
