Hey guys starting up a new project again, this time its a sci fi/industrial scene. I'll sticking with a modular design, and will be modeling and texturing to UE3 specs. And hope to import all into unreal one day. So here is what i got so far some concepts and some renders enjoy
Seaseme: thanks man, i was looking a at bit bit of dead space trailers before starting this project.
Snefer : Thanks man, i can't wait intill i start texturing.
oalexis: I wil continue working on my Bombay scene in my spare time, but i'll be sure to finish it before the end of November.
So guys i'm back with more renders. As you can see there will be a lot of panel designs, that i'll bend into new shape and combining panel designs together. I'm now working much more complex stuff like the doors, generator, and support beams.
LoM Chaos: actually it stands for Destroy the competition, i got it from playing gears of war 2 in the team death match mode the announcer at the end of the match always says something like "don't just defeat them destroy them" and i dont know who Tyler is....
TheMadArtist: thanks man !
so back with more stuff guys. Here is the final version of the support tower/beam without the three cylinders and here is the generator.
The scratches are getting a little too noisy for my taste in these more recent shots. Still kind of a cool effect, but I prefer the earlier treatments.
Definaty feeling the style man, you have some solid pieces there.
One thing that I can crit right now is make sure you don't lose your focal point(s) in the scene, right now its looking a bit cluttered, and a little hard to figure out what I should focus on.
Either way, looking forward to see more updates, I really need to get started a new scene myself :P
@JasonLavoie: Thanks for the advice man, i'll keep that in mind
So guys back with a light pass. I'm probably put the decay of the lights to something like 2.1, and i'll be replacing the white box with a large generator. I might put orange lights at the bottom the generator, still deciding on that.

thanks man
Here are some more props.

I'll be posting some more renders on Tuesday guys after the (Canadian) thanksgiving.
thanks man !
so back with a bit more. Almost finished up some low poly models so here they are.
I got an email from Tyler. Are you one of the environment artists?
TheMadArtist: thanks man !

would you mind sharing some of your rendering / material settings for these renders? I love the look your getting with the high polys.
thanks

Killaball: thanks man, i'll have scene done by Nov 7th (i hope)
Here is a small update, just a reminder that none of the props so far have spec maps.

I'll be watching.
killingpeople: i think the noise is coming from my over sharpened textures.
Jonasz: Thanks bud !
and just one more.
I do agree with you ( i over sharpened the texture, i'll fix that)
So back with some rough block ins of the set. I'll be adding in a third shot soon. I also painted over the ares where i'll be adding the lights from.

The orange lights are distracting, I would agree with putting them near the focal point of the room.
You could always make the generator the main focal point with alot brighter colours/lighting and then leave the orange lights to balance things out.
I think you could add something to the center of the scene as its quite wide and feels rather bare.
@Ark: Thanks, I've posted a picture of the generator that i'll be posting in the center of the scene.
@ Generalvivi: Thanks bro !
Back with a little update. Fixing the textures on the tower/pillar. Its still a WIP !
