I am looking for a place that's cheaper than $1500 North of Soho/North of the Thames river. No more than 30 minutes from Soho. Safe BTW. I swear if I see one yob...
Well, you could check areas like Finchley and Hendon, which are quite nice and should be under £1500 a month, but you might struggle to find a two-bed apartment for that figure. Any closer than that, and you're a bit too close to Kentish Town / Camden, which are pretty rough.
You'd only have to take the Northern line straight to Leicester Square, which should be less than 30 minutes providing there aren't any signal failures or suicides, which can slow things down.
This thread + this post in another one makes no sense. What gives ;D

north of the river is pretty broad.
addendum;
you might want to just consider merely living in the same zone as soho a massive success.
aw shit dont come here.. it sucks everything is too expensive the women all hookers or gold diggers, its dirty, the streets stink of piss, fucking idiot chavs everywhere and I cant stand this place.. stay in Japan..
Hey man, you asked for less than $1500 - did you actually mean £, or were you looking for a comparable price? You also didn't state if that was monthly or not, I assume you mean £1500 a month?
You'd most likely be better off sharing with someone.
@ danshewan - LOL!! I'll remember that pic and send it to my buddy.
@ Notorious P.I.G - A good friend of mine scored a job there and wants to remain nameless cuz his current employers don't know and he's ultra protective.
@ rolfness - Dude, I'd totally show up to get stabbed by a hooker. I heard it was a rite of passage for some.
