I've been modeling in 3dsmax and for what I'm working on, I need to use the ink and paint material. I've placed an omni light in the scene with shadows ticked on and I've noticed the objects aren't casting shadows onto one another and only seem to be affected locally (the only shadows that exist on the objects are shadows cast onto the object by itself).
Is there any way to make objects using the ink and paint material to cast shadows on eachother or am i just doing something wrong or is it not a property of that material?

Make sure you really have shadows activated, check your Lights' Include/Exclude Lists and your Objects' Properties.
