WIP Soldier - Guerilla

Hi guys, this was my last week project is inspired in Red Faction Guerrilla.
Hope like it.

-Still WIP-
The Idea is make a realtime version for UE3

    Not bad Rihotzu! Its looking pretty sweet so far.

    My only crits are the face. The proportions look a bit off to me. The nose and mouth are a little narrow in comparison. And i think the check bones could be defined a little more. Heres some reference that may help.

    The only other thing is I think the back of the armor is a little boring when compared to the front/chest. Maybe add in some similar details around the kidneys for example.

    The face... depends on what style you are going for. It's good for an anime-influenced look.
    knees look a bit low tho

    For some reason (mostly the head), I am getting a serious "Fist of the Northstar" vibde from this.

    This wireframe is for the hi poly right? Cos it's no realtime mesh! I really like what you've done with the various fabric folds- they're coming out nicely. I actually like the rear armour design (more than the front) and just think that an interesting diffuse and spec pattern will pop it out well.

    The only thing I don't buy are the veins on the arms and neck, which look random and not integrated, and the slash/scar across the centre bridge of the nose- it looks too deep to be anything but a gaping wound- scar tissue would surely have filled in that gash?

    Other than that, nice work!

    Nice model, but the design of the character in itself makes me go "???"
    He has what seems to be a knife from a fantasy genre, but he's in some kind of futureland wartorn enviroment armor with spiky shin gauntlets, and a backwards baseball cap.
    Well, now that I think of it, Mad Max was kinda "???" to me with thier football shoulder pads for everything. Sorry for the rant.

    Nice model, weak character design imo.

    I disagree with d00kie. I don't think the character design is weak.

    And about the knees, yeah they're too low. You should adjust those.

    heres something to illustrate the main anatomical problem, the knees,

    and, I will be on the "this has weak design" team if we play kickball

    but this is also fanart-ish so design isnt really the question here.
