I hate coming across peoples awesome entries for online challenges that end the day after I find out about them :poly117: So I was thinking, is there a blog that catalogues every challenge related to games art? If there isn't, I could make one... that way if people are bored and looking for something to do they could just go to the blog and see whats on at the moment. It would be cool to have a blog that catalogues every challenge polycount, GA, G-A, conceptart.org, moddb, fpsbanana etc. has going on.

Problem would be, I would try to update it myself as much as possible, but it would really depend on people PMing me occasionally when they hear of something on sites I wouldn't really frequent myself. I would see the challenges posted on here, GA and G-A, but not so much conceptart.org or that.

Would people be interested in this or does something like it exist already?

i know the CGSociety newsletter lists the main comps, but i think they leave out the little ones. i don't know of many other sites that even have a newsletter though so it sounds like a good idea.

-edit- though it does sound like a lot of work to keep organised and getting the various people/sites on board. GA has 'em all advertised on the main page there which helps for sure, but they also like to keep you waiting which means anything more than a collection of links would need a lot of re-checking/updating too.

Yea I like this idea also gj blender, some kind of quick easy site, with the links and details in two sentences. Not a crazy informative site but a contest dump.

    Here:
    http://art-challenges.blogspot.com/
Pass it along and I will edit it as it is needed any input you can add I will implement.

I figured if anyone who creates a challenge could either pm/email me and I will update the blog or I can have them just post replies and I will edit out unnecessary posts.

Your welcome guys I got what I could on my own, but I guess if no one wants to help I could do it alone.

Let me know if the setup's fine I thought it was straight and to the point.

Also if anyone wants there portfolio links posted on here along the side I will also include those for anyone interested.
