Alrighty, messing with ink and paint shader in max and i'm trying to figure out how to use something similar to multi sub object while having the ink and paint shader on ... i found something called multi/sub map and it sorta works but the textures aren't mapping to the proper id's.

what's the problem here? Why not just use multi-sub object material? Should work fine, I believe I've done it before.
