I didn't see a thread for this yet, which is kinda surprising. Noel was on #md the other night linking sketches from this app: http://sketch.odopod.com/ It's a very simple little web-based sketching app. You can then send a link to your sketch and it will play back the steps from blank page to finished in a time-lapse style video.

This is the best line quality I have ever seen!!! Brush width increasing with stroke speed, thats a genius idea, sadly unavailable in Photoshop right?

Yeah as far as I know.

It is a cool idea 'cause it kinda forces you to make sweet linework, completely out of your comfort zone.

damn, you guys put my shit to shame.

On an interesting note, there's a "reload" button in the bottom right, which will redraw what you've done up until that point. But while it's redrawing, you can still click with the brush, which really fucks shit up.

Inkscape (the opensource vector program) can set speed to size, as well as lazymouse-like stuff. I quite like that brush for sketching, although obviously it won't look like natural media at ALL.

I know this makes me sound like a dick but I mean it in the most neutral wayI was making a brush painting toy a couple months ago exactly like that, which fell to the wayside but was pretty fun to mess with.

Glad to see something similar in a cooler, web-based format. I am really enjoying messing with this... I also see the way they rendered their swooping strokes (polygonally, opposed to the stamp-spacing in Photoshop)... hmmmm... :icon15:

I like how they are mini breakdowns just to see how people start and tackle different problems; now where the hell is Jouste to post one of these?

* Not like it's a big deal but since I haven't picked up a wacom in a year and I totally overworked the peice of crap I was working on, it got featured(along with the million others that day) so that's kind of neat.
