I've been at Blue Byte for 5 months now, and the game that I'm working on was finally announced.

Check it out. The trailer is pretty good, I think, and shows what the game is about. I enjoy our play test days, and the art style is really fun.
I really don't know why The Settlers isn't bigger in the states, but hopefully this one will sell better there.

Looking good, been a while since I played any game like settlers.
I like the trailer for this new one, might give the demo a try (if there is one)

But please tell the person responsible that: nothing will ever beat Settlers II. That was the best one in the series and if this one is closer to it than the previous 2 I'm sold.

not that i'm a fan of the new remakes but there is a settlers classic series done by funatics/bluebyte which pretty much takes the old gameplay and puts it into more actual 3d graphics, as far as i know you can even load your old maps
Any parts you liked were mine.
Honestly though, a lot of the vegetation in the vids, but most of the work I'm on won't be visible till the final game (doing map beautification) but while waiting on Level Designers I was making random 3d assets.

Yes, that's the main message trying to be conveyed, there will be multiplayer.
I couldnt really see why this game would be any better than Anno 1404 though. Also, the character was a little too battlefield-heroesish for my liking. Looking forward to some actual ingame shots.
i guess thats why they have waited so long till they show up something, i've bee working on those chars since 2008. But i definitely would have loved to work on the latest Anno too, because it was a really nice and round game, especially for a german production, anyone who worked on that can be really proud of his work.
