I was watching star wars sunday and I realised something, THeres a huge hole in the star wars fiction. Supposedly c-3p0 was built by anakin skywalker who is darth vader. C3p0 is around luke skywalker 75 percent of the time and never makes the connection? It seems kind of imporbable to me that a robot built for information doesnt realise there might be a relation.

But not R2-D2, which is why he always seemed to know whats up. He probably didn't clue c3po in because he knew c3po was an idiot.
Haha, awesome.
agreed
but that will only happen AFTER he releases his TRUE vision of how he wanted those episodes to look with a revamped anniversary edition
3po is a tool man... even if they didn't wipe his memory, he wouldn't remember because he's always so emotionally distraught
nough said.
Dear Mr Lucas,
Since midiclorians exist in living tissue and the more you have the more power you have over the force. How is it that Darth Vader is just as powerful if not more than before being hacked and burned into itty bitty pieces and is "more machine than man"?
Trust me there are so many more holes. But picking apart Star Wars is like complaining that porn has no plot.
Bail Organa ordered Raymus Antilles to wipe C-3PO's memory to ensure the true lineage of Leia Organa remained unknown. Years later, but for unrelated reasons, Owen Lars told Luke Skywalker to wipe the memory of two recently acquired droidsC-3PO and R2-D2as part of a routine procedure. The wipe, however, was never performed.

Dorks who have given it some thought have said it "could" be done with a stream of plasma. You can control its length, it would be able to interact with things in ways light can't. That is if you can get around a few things like the scale of technology needed to create a plasma stream that length... and heat...
But if you're thinking about it that much you've missed the fun.
At the same time, I agree that the prequel trilogy does an ass-tastic job of tying things together. For a series of movies that are supposedly about Anakin Skywalker, the character development for Anakin is either non-existent, or piss-poor. The biggest disparity between the two series is the difference in character development. In the original trilogy, the character development was fairly simplistic, but at least it was there. Luke starts off as the snot-nosed brat, the princess is the sassy female leader, and Han is the brash and mercanary smuggler. By the end of the series they've all changed. Luke learns some life lessons and becomes wiser and more patient. Lea realizes that her career in diplomacy isn't everything, and opens up emotionally. And Han Solo develops into a respectable leader who genuinely cares about his companions.
The prequel trilogy should have been the story of a bright-eyed idealistic Jedi who is slowly manipulated into a twisted monster. And that wasn't what happened.
Chancellor Palpatine: Hey Anakin, I need you to stop petting puppies and feeding the homeless and do me a favor.
Anakin: Really? What favor?
Chancellor Palpatine: I need you to go to the Jedi Temple, and slaughter innocent children and your friends and peers in cold blood. Oh, and snuff some Bothans while you're at it. You can never kill too many Bothans.
Anakin: Hmmmmm....well, since it's you, okay!
There was a great show on the History Channel a while back about the science of Star Wars. One of the best lines came during their discussion of the realities of a light saber and the intense heat that the plasma would generate. (paraphrasing)
"It would be best to just mail it to your enemy and have them turn it on."
ETA: Holy crap, my typing skills are impeccable!
LOL. It's that bad huh? Nice. I hope they invite that soon. That, and being able to punch people through their monitors.
Not to mention Hayden Christensen's dreadful acting abilities.
Saying that, though, everyone was psyched that Sam Jackson would be starring in the prequels, and he ended up hamming it up real nice, too.
Hahahaha that's priceless...
