Thought I'd get more eyes on this for crits. My reference is a character named Tyr from McFarlane's Dragon Rider series. I'd like to start baking him down soon...
Update: Started texturing. Using Xoliul's shader.

Beside that... Great job
woogity: Thanks for the crits. Which direction are you saying the thumbs should be rotated? As for the finer details like hairs, etc...this is something I debate with myself all the time. I was thinking maybe I should save that for crazybumping a texture so it matches up later? I'm not even sure if I should've added the finer hairs to his head.
Anyway thanks for the compliments guys. Taking notes of the crits here.
i agree with it not looking faun enough, maybe some twisted horns would help. This is a very nice model. Good Job
cheers

Indeed the base colors are too bright at the moment. Things should darken up as I work on this. And I'll swap out the color completely if it just doesn't work.
Thanks for taking a peek.
Stertman: I used a maxscript called SlideKnit. You have to unwrap a shape you want your geo pattern to lay on. The script creates a morph. Works quite well actually.
