I was looking at some real time shaders for water and was wondering if there was efficient shader that i could use in max. They had some really cool stuff even in beyond good and evil. Also beaches. A lot of shaders don't treat the water/land interface properly. Even Xenogears had waves and beaches, however due the nature of that game's water color style textures, i think they were able to pull off cool stuff.

I made a water shader for maya that took me a week just to get the fresnel effect working properly.
