Now available for pre-order on Steam. Get it... DO IT NOW!
You can also purchase a FOUR-PACK on Steam and save $75 between the four of you and your friends. October 26th for PC!
(and October 20th if you prefer an inferior gaming system *cough*)
I am EXCITED about this game!
Amazing art direction, first person shooter, RPG elements, and co-op. In all honesty, what could you possibly want more of in a game?
The only thing I believe the game may be short of content. They say that the game is expansive, but I think after this game has been out for a while that a company will make a game similar with 100x the content.
Of course, we've only seen a fraction of the content so far.
Just barely a month away! Anyone else playing? I'd love to play with some Polycounters there.
Make sure you get it on Steam, too, so we can become Steam buddies.
I think they'll put it on Steam when it's about 2 weeks away from release. If you pre-order on Steam you typically get about $5 knocked off the price, too!
I too also felt the UI may have been a little cluttered. I think its partially due to drops.
SO getting this game. FPS + loot + a little bit of character progression. I have been waiting so long for a game like this. Also, the art is f-ing awesome. Love the textures.
Rage isn't a co-op game, not even multilayer I think. Borderland's art style is refreshing especially since the industry is getting to the point of having everything become realistic.
Too much realistic post-apocalyptic gets boring really fast. It's already boring.
Looks awesome, love the art style and looks like it'll be fun running around in co-op. Wish I had a 360 at the moment cause I don't know many people that would wanna play co-op on PC
Hey Astro, you know of any delays that may happen? I'm pretty excited about this game coming out so soon and my inner child would be destroyed if it got pushed back
I have been watching this game since it was first announced. Way back long before the art change. It has evolved so much and just keeps looking better and better. I have been DROOLING over every single crumb of information for several years now. Also, not only am i getting this game over steam when it comes out and adding everyone as a steam friend, i am also hosting a borderlands lan party at my place when it comes out. =D Going to be awesome and you should all come.
Awesome! If you get it on Steam I'd love to add you. I haven't been this excited about a game for a very long time.
Oh, and one more thing about the game I'm loving is the diversity of gun sounds. It seems like every video I've watched I've heard a gun sound that is at least to some level unique.

Ya i agree, sound is extremely important and often underestimated in gaming unfortunately. I just need a giant revolver that goes BOOM and i will be happy
So for a matter of discussion, what class are you LEAST interested in?
It's been pretty unanimous across my friends that the Siren sounds the least interesting. Besides her Phase Walk she just seems like a weaker version of your standard shooter... and she relies heavily on melee and daze? I'd rather just kill shit!
gave it a shot at gencon in Brisbane yesterday. Was cool and all, but i usually like dudes to die when you shoot them in the head, and not take of 10% off their life |:.
Yeah, I'm kind of curious how that will work. I think if you go in with the expectation that it will take a bit of time to kill something then you will probably be okay with it.
I'm sure that's something they had a lot of debating about in the studio.
Makes complete sense. If you just wanna play another boring FPS then you shouldn't have too much difficulty finding one considering they're a dime a dozen
Do you know if there are any plans to have it available for preorder on Steam? I know we can probably just buy it from a store and have Steam manage it, but I'd rather buy it online through Steam.
There is now a 4-pack available through Steam. You purchase it for $134 and you're given 3 extra copies to send to your friends through Steam! Hell of a deal

want game naow... looks awesome...
I mean.. get it on Steam when you CAN.
No one bitches about WoW being too cluttered.. and this looks similar HUD wise. I think it'll be fine.
I'll see what I can do but it's pretty close to launch so probably too late. I'll keep your suggestion in mind if we get to make a sequel though.

The greatest thing about it for me is the co-op. I'm appalled at how few co-op games there are for computer.

Many people have asked on the Gearbox forums...They have not released that information yet.

This.
Does that mean that if you are the right level they will die like they are supposed to?
I've seen some footage where enemies have gone down in 1 or 2 shots, probably because the person was at or above the enemies level.

You can now pre-order on Steam
Basically you're on a distant planet searching for "the vault" that has alien artifacts.
I'll most likely get it at some point, but it'll be a while since I will find the time to actually play it.
EDIT: Oh yeh, someone mentioned sound - I agree. Finally a game where the guns sound punchy.
